This week’s music:

Polonaise in A-flat Major, op. 53, by Frederic Chopin

If you go to YouTube, you can listen to a number of great pianists, including Horowitz and Rubenstein, play this piece. My personal favorite recording, however, is the one found on Evgeny Kissin’s new album, The Essential Evgeny Kissin (iTunes Link). I prefer his pedalling to that of Horowitz.

Or, to be gramatically correct, this is I.

This “Rhymes with Orange” comic strip appeared in the local newspaper on August 10, 2008 – one week after my 15th birthday, actually. I liked it, a lot, because it reminded me so much of my school days. You see, during the two years I spent at school, I did my best to play no sports. Of course, there was always Phys. Ed. class, but I conveniently ended up sick on gym days. I would watch sports, though; especially baseball. I watched a lot of baseball, and sometimes soccer, but never hockey. I hate hockey.

(On an only somewhat related note, author Hilary Price notes on her website that the only thing that comes even close to rhyming with Orange is the two-word phrase “door hinge”. I like that; probably because I know some people who would pronounce it in such a way.)
